Andrei Duma Awarded
API Visionary Scholarship!
College of Engineering student Andrei Duma is one of three winners of the first annual Visionary Scholarship awarded by Automated Processes, Inc. (API), a leading audio console manufacturer. API initiated this scholarship in 2008 in order to encourage further education in the audio arts. The scholarship committee judged submissions on technical, creative and essay criteria.
The scholarship is open only to students at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, New York University, and University of Massachusetts-Lowell; these are the only higher education facilities in the U.S. that have a primary recording studio featuring an API Vision Production console.
The Audio Studio in the Duderstadt Center underwent a major renovation in 2007 and now provides U-M students, faculty and staff a world-class recording studio.
